Looking over the clover
Here I am picking up my kids from school. I am walking across a field. I look down for a minute and I see a patch of clover. It brings back memories of being a kid and spending hours thumbing through clovers hoping to find a LUCKY 4 leaf clover. I find it interesting that I have walked through this same patch of grass a number of times this year and not noticed the clovers before.
Perhaps because I was busy, I was on my phone, I was distracted. Regardless of why I haven’t seen them before, I SAW THEM TODAY and it made me think: Why is it as a kid we tackle things with relentless determination but as we get older we seem to settle for what comes our way. Do we lose hope? Are we tired? Did someone tell us that we just can’t win?
