If I Wasn’t a Beachbody Coach

if I werent a beachbody coach - FeaturedI’ve been thinking about gratitude a lot lately and I realized I’m so grateful to be a coach, not only because I can share my story and inspire others but also because if I didn’t have this opportunity I feel like I would have a void in my life. I mean, my kids are in school all day. So how would I spend my time?

Honestly, if I wasn’t a coach, I would definitely need to find a way to fill my time. I’m not one to be happy sitting around while my kids are at school. I would find projects like crafts or scrapbooking and would probably do some unnecessary shopping for things that I don’t really need. I certainly would look for ways to be “busy.”

If I think about a life where I wasn’t a coach, I’m sure I’d spend more time than I do now at my kids’ schools volunteering. In the past, I’ve been a team mom and a classroom mom. But with four kids and a job, I’ve had to be more selective of my volunteer time, or I’d be completely overwhelmed.

My oldest is playing high school varsity soccer and the booster club is looking for help and officers. These are the types of things I definitely would say “yes” to if I was looking for things to do. I do love babies; maybe I would go to our old preschool and hold babies if I wasn’t a coach.

I didn’t realize that I had a purpose other than aspiring to be an awesome mom and wife until Beachbody came into my life, and with it an opportunity to pay it forward. The fact that I get to inspire other moms to make small changes that will impact their overall happiness and help them improve their health and fitness at the same time? It’s a dream come true.

It’s so funny to me, when I look back on the course my life has taken. In fact, if you had told me years ago that I’d be inspiring people to live better and just be better people, I’d have laughed.

It was a gradual progression, my transformation, and it started with ME. I wanted to change. I was unhappy and I needed to take care of myself. I realized that. So, I started with Power 90 and 30 minutes a day of exercise. I moved on to P90X and caught “P90X Fever.” I couldn’t help wanting everyone I knew to feel how I was feeling. Which was GREAT.

When I started as a coach, I had two kids and a 9 month old baby. I had to juggle things and I worked with the baby napped or was happy playing. I talked to people when I was out running errands and I loved helping others (still do!). I worked to fit my work into my “free” time.

Fast forward nine years later. I have four active children and have managed to continue staying fit, helping others and growing a team of coaches who do the same.

All this time and passion that I put into Beachbody and my work? Without it, I’d feel a lack of purpose. I would be LOST. I would be in search of a way to HELP others and inspire them to LIVE LARGER, something I thankfully found with Beachbody.

What in your life is filling your purpose?
