Master’s Hammer & Chisel Progress

2016-02-02Jeff and I started the new Master’s Hammer and Chisel program in January, and we’re loving it. So much so that we haven’t missed a day yet. That’s huge for us! To help keep us on track, we’re working hard to do the workouts together or support one another to get it done individually.

There’s a lot of variation in the program and Sagi and Autumn alternate in the videos. The workouts are all about lifting weights, and lifting heavy. It’s been a challenge for me but it’s bringing me back to my love of weight lifting.

A few weeks ago, I went on a retreat with my sister (more on that next week). We were gone for five days, but I was able to stay committed to Hammer and Chisel. The resort where we stayed had an incredible gym that offered its own workouts. It took courage and confidence to bring my own workouts to the gym and work out in front of the other guests. But I got it done!

Our Results—So Far

After a few weeks on the program, I’m definitely feeling stronger. I’m using the right supplements to keep me on track and am building a lot of muscle. I feel sore, but Recover is helping with that. The program works your legs a lot and my glutes are very sore.

I haven’t weighed myself, but my diet has only been about 70 percent. I know tightening that up a bit will bring big results.

Jeff is finding Hammer and Chisel challenging also. He doesn’t like pull-ups, and we’re doing a lot of those. But overall he’s enjoying the program. Jeff is listening to Sagi’s advice to work harder, and he’s maxing out and pushing to exhaustion.

I have a few more travel days before we’re done with this program, so I’ll have to figure out how to cope with that. Weights are required almost every day, so I need to find a way to stay on track. With a little bit of pre-planning, I know I can do it.

Learn more about the Hammer and Chisel program. I’ll be starting a challenge group soon!
