Success Story Showcase – Glamaris & Samantha

One of the best parts of being a Beachbody Coach is getting to help other people write THEIR success stories. It’s one thing to focus on yourself and have success, but the next level is being able to share what you’ve done with others and help them achieve success, as well.  Rather than me telling you about the success of others, though, I wanted them to share their own stories with you here.

Glamaris Cohen

Glamaris CollageMy Beachbody journey started over a year ago. I’ve known Lee for several years, and always admired her success, but always thought it wasn’t for me. I felt she must be a natural salesperson, and that just wasn’t something I was comfortable with. I am fitness-minded and liked Shakeology but had never wanted to try any of the fitness programs.

Early in 2015 I had a sports injury which made it impossible for me to continue my previous fitness activities. In only a few weeks without exercise, I gained about 15 pounds. I knew I needed to find a fitness program that would show results, and that portion control would be necessary for me to lose the weight. I contacted Lee and decided to give the 21 Day Fix a try. I had such great results in the first 21 days, that I decided to continue and ended up in the best shape of my life!

During this same period of time I went through some personal and family issues, and it became obvious that I would need to find a new career opportunity. I loved the 21 Day Fix and Shakeology. I figured out the aspect I enjoy the most in my career is mentoring people, so I thought why not give the coaching opportunity a try??

I decided to become a Coach in April 2015, and by Coach Summit 2015 I was an Emerald Coach! I have had the opportunity to meet a fantastic group of people, share in the mission to help bring about positive change, and built my own business at the same time. My coach and friend Lee, the people on our team and the other coaches I have met are all dedicated to helping each other in our mission to help as many people as possible change their lives. This is rare and precious in the business world. I am proud to be a part of it! I know I can do a lot more, and it is all possible. I am so grateful I gave Beachbody a chance!

Samantha Davies

Samantha SuccessI have been knocked down countless times, I have wanted to give up countless times, one thing was common, I kept pressing forward. I pressed on through the pain, the tears, the depression and all the other mental aspects. I keep telling myself to press on no matter how hard it gets and no matter how much I don’t want to. When this is through, I will look back and say well I made it and that wasn’t so bad was it. I struggle everyday, mentally and physically. But if I look back at where I was it helps me remember I am farther forward now then where I was a year ago or even a month ago.

I blew out my ACL in July of 2015, which was devastating. I was in prime condition and in the best shape of my life. I’ve always been active and I’d upped my game in fitness. Then I got injured and it required surgery. I knew recovery wasn’t going to be easy and it would be long.

I couldn’t do any of the programs I’d been doing. I started back with Body Beast and it was a savior for me. I would preview the workouts with my physical therapist and we would work them out and work out any modifications I would need to prevent re-injury.

I have followed a healthy, clean-eating approach through all the programs since my first round of Hammer and Chisel. I use the 80/20 rule with my nutrition plan, allowing myself “off the plan” 20% of the time, as life is to short not to enjoy. I am human so I occasionally have gotten carried away, but I go back to those colored containers and I reel it back in. And Shakeology has helped me with my digestive health, as well.

My favorite program so far is Hammer & Chisel because there’s a really great variety in the workouts. I didn’t get bored because there was a surprise around every corner.

Thanks Lee, You never have given up on me. I appreciate everything you do. You are where you are at because of who you are. You are real!

I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading about the success of these two wonderful women. I have been blessed to be a part of their journey to fitness.  I’ll share some more success stories in future blogs!

xoxo - Lee
