Beachbody’s latest program is making a huge impact among emotional eaters (like me!) without making us rule out any of the foods we love.
You know from previous posts that I’ve struggled in recent months with getting my workouts in–either because life got in the way or because I was injured. That led to feeling guilt, which led to me reaching for a little treat here and there. Because why not? I felt like I was failing at whatever program I was on so it didn’t matter anyway.
The Big Ah-Ha
Most recently, when I did 80 Day Obsession, I struggled with trying to fit in all the food I needed to eat. I was eating two eggs, spinach, toast and turkey bacon for breakfast every morning–a LOT of food–and then having trouble eating enough food the rest of the day. That led to me skipping workouts, having a few too many treats each day and just generally feeling down about it all.
What I realized was that I was angry at myself and sabotaging my own success because of it. That led me to 2B Mindset, which came at a perfect time for me.
I’m just a few months away from my 50th birthday and I’ve come to understand that my own health and fitness journey is about being comfortable in my own skin and eating right–for me. Not only that but I also want to do the workouts that bring me joy and make me feel good. That doesn’t always mean following a program to a T. It means running one day, doing a 21 Day Fix workout another and yoga in between. It means doing what I want, when I want. But moving every day.
